Internet TV – Your Gateway to Thousands of Channels for Free . . .

Internet TV can be accessed in many different ways right to your own PC, but lots of people like to stick with what they know and choose Windows internet TV. It’s hardly surprising really, I mean, who hasn’t heard of Microsoft and the Windows systems?  It’s so easy to browse through the available channels and choose the exact programs you want to see.  Another reason why so many people choose to access internet TV with Windows is . . . . dah dah daaahhh . . . the software is FREE (unlike some of the others).

We all live and learn don’t we (well, most of us anyway), but internet and computer “newbies” can spend lots of their hard earned dosh on stuff which they don’t even need.  Internet TV software is easily accessible without having to spend a penny, take it from me. Some software developers claim (not surprisingly) that their particular software will enable you to access lots of satellite TV channels which are otherwise unavailable but that’s not strictly true . . . in fact it’s not true at all.

Internet TV Secret

Sssshh, I’ll let you into a little internet TV secret if you promise not to tell. The only thing that the costly software actually does is to access online directories (which are free by the way, and open to everybody) and pull out a handy list of URL addresses for the user. Okay, it may save you a little browsing time but that’s about all, and that isn’t what it says it will do is it? No, lots of satellite and internet TV software certainly does not do what it says on the tin.  You certainly won’t be able to watch any of the encrypted channels, and if you can you shouldn’t and are doing something illegal.

Windows Internet TV however, does exactly what it says on the tin (what tin? . . . it’s hypothetical!!!) What it does is give you access to lots of free to air TV channels so that you can watch them through your computer.  You can even find channels which you didn’t even know existed, and it’s all so quick and easy.  You need never be stuck again for something to watch on the box (or the screen).

Once you’ve mastered this extremely simple procedure and you’re completely hooked (which you will be before you know it) you could invest in a TV-out card so that you can watch the programs on your proper TV or projector system, instead of everyone trying to crowd around the PC. You can often enhance the quality of the picture this way (depending on your hardware of course). Anyway, the better quality of monitor you have, the less strain you put on your eyes.  If you do decide to go down the internet TV route (and why wouldn’t you) then a little extra hardware investment is well worth it, and why not, the software is free so you might as well spend a little dosh on making the experience as pleasant as possible.
